The Macro Social Work Mentor Podcast
Episode 1: Why Macro Social Work? Premiering on March 13, 2023.
Sharing my thirty-year journey to Macro Social Work Practice from my MSW student to University Professor, City Council Member, Community Practitioner and Local Government Consultant
Welcome to my podcast: The Macro Social Work Mentor, which will premiere on Monday, March 13, 2023.
In my over 24 years of teaching macro social work practice as an Associate Professor (now retired) and Lecturer, I have never encountered so much interest from my students, graduate and undergraduate, in macro social work practice. My journey into Macro Social Work practice started when I was a graduate social work student at California State University, Long Beach in 1992. My podcast starts there and takes you through over thirty years of stories detailing what I have learned about macro practice.
Whether you want to increase your understanding of macro social work practice, to learn how to improve your macro practice skills and knowledge, or to incorporate macro practice into your own social work practice, I hope you will find my podcast interesting, entertaining, and instructive.
